Verduzzo IGT del Veneto Orientale
Lison-Pramaggiore Eastern Veneto (near Venice).
Flat well drained ground, with dolomitic limestone and clay texture. Sylvoz style of pruning with a density of 2,600 vines/ha.
Selected grapes are left on the vines to mature longer to increase the sugar concentration before harvesting. After a short cold maceration (18-24 hours) at 10°C, the skins are separated from the must with soft pressing and then the fermentation starts at a temperature of 15-16°C with selected yeasts for 12-15 days.
Golden yellow in colour it has a sweet delicate bouquet with slight vanilla overtones. The flavour is dense and rich with hints of dried fruit especially apricots.
BEST SERVED WITH
An ideal wine to go with dessert, especially pastries and biscuits. Great accompaniment to mild or blue cheese. To be served at a temperature of 10-12°C in small dessert glasses.
Keep bottles stored in a cool, dry place away from light, where possible horizontally.
